🟢 Chapter 1 — Swapping 101
Swapping is trading one token for another — like exchanging dollars for euros, but instant and on the blockchain.
How to swap on SuiDex
Connect your wallet (Slush Wallet is recommended. https://slush.app/)
Select the token you want to trade
Select the token you want to receive
Enter the amount to swap
Review slippage, fees, and output amount
Click Swap and confirm in your wallet
💡 Tip: Keep a little SUI in your wallet for gas — without it, the swap won’t process.
Swapping is trading one token for another. On SuiDex it’s instant, transparent, and powered by liquidity pools.
Direct Pairs
When SuiDex has a pool for your token pair, you’ll see Direct selected (like SUI → SUITRUMP in the screenshot).
Output shows how many tokens you’ll receive
Impact shows how much your trade moves the market price
A direct route is usually best because it’s simple and low-cost
Multi-Hop Routes
If there isn’t enough liquidity in your pair, SuiDex will search for other ways to complete your trade. That’s a multi-hop swap.
Example: SUI → WBTC → SUITRUMP
Your trade “hops” through existing pools
This helps when liquidity is low or trading volume is high
Sometimes a multi-hop route actually gives you a better rate than direct
Why it matters
You can swap any token, even if no direct pool exists
Multi-hop ensures your trade goes through smoothly
In high-volume times, getting your trade in quickly can mean better pricing
💡 Tip: Always check the Impact %. A high impact means your trade is moving the market a lot — you might want to reduce the size or wait for more liquidity.
